Club donates typewriter to blind girl

Twelve-year-old girl Lim Pei Yem, who has been blind since birth, received a braille typewriter from
The Kiwanis Club of Petaling Jaya recently.
The gift was presented to her at Restoran Hock Hin in SS19/6 Subang Jaya where her father Ken Lim
operates a stall.
She is now studying at SK Pendidikan Khas in Jalan Batu, Kuala Lumpur.

With her at the presentation ceremony were mother Gwee Ai Wah, club president Yap Yun Fatt,
treasurer Michael Chang and secretary Eugene Leow.
On another matter, the club will be organising a charity golf tournament on July 11 at the Bangi
Golf Club.
The money raised will benefit autistic children and children with thalassemia.
It is looking for donors either in cash or in kind.
